Our Clients
Literacy Kansas City provides free one-to-one tutoring for a diverse population of students age 16 and above. Nearly half of our students are in the 30 to 50 year age range.
Our Volunteers
Literacy Kansas City's volunteers are passionate literacy advocates. Tutors make an initial commitment of one year and receive extensive training prior to certification. Volunteers annually donate over 13,000 hours of service.
Our Organization
Literacy Kansas City's 2009-2010 budget is approximately $450,000. We are not affiliated with any government or church-sponsored entity.
