Wednesday, April 14, 2010, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at LiteracyKC's Main Office.

Saturday, May 8, 2010, 9:30- 11:30 a.m. at LiteracyKC's Main Office.

Tutor Training Workshops:
Tutor Training Workshops prepare volunteer tutors to work one-to-one with functionally illiterate adults. Attendance is required at all days of a training session to become a certified tutor. For those who are able and would like to contribute toward the cost of workshop materials, a suggested donation of $35 is appreciated. You must attend a Volunteer Orientation prior to registering for a Tutor Training Workshop.

OPEN DOOR TUTORS will be given seating priority in this workshop.  Open Door tutor training is the same, but the students will be part of a special program serving persons on probation and parole in Jackson County, through a grant from the Sate of Missouri. 

Registration and Continental breakfast begin at 8:45 a.m. The Workshop begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. Please bring a sack lunch. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
